Wyzr vs CFO Pal
Both of us describe ourselves as an AI CFO for UK small businesses, and both forecast cash and answer questions about your numbers. The useful differences are which business each is built for, what we connect to, and how much of the analysis is done by a model rather than by arithmetic you can check.
Where Wyzr is the better fit
Wyzr connects to your bank as well as your accounting software, so it sees money moving before it reaches the ledger. If your bookkeeping runs behind, that is a real advantage. Their metrics also lean towards startups: runway, monthly recurring revenue, burn rate and customer acquisition cost, plus investor-ready projections for a raise or a loan application. If you are a founder raising money, that is the shape of tool you want.
Where CFO Pal is the better fit
CFO Pal is built for an established business that already has a bookkeeper or an accountant and a reasonably tidy ledger. Rather than startup metrics, it produces the things a finance director would: monthly management accounts, budget versus actuals with drill-down, revenue concentration and debtor analysis, and a written brief every Monday that arrives whether or not you log in.
The difference that matters most is how the numbers are produced. CFO Pal's AI never calculates anything. Every figure is computed by our own deterministic engine from your accounting data and handed to the model as fact, so the model writes the explanation and never the arithmetic. We enforce it in our test suite: any monetary figure in an AI output that does not already exist in the pre-computed data fails the test. If you are nervous about a language model doing sums with your money, that is the distinction to press both of us on.
Pricing
CFO Pal is £199/month + VAT with every feature included and a 14-day free trial, no card required. Wyzr offers free access to start and does not publish onward pricing, so you will need to ask them. We publish ours because a price you have to request is rarely the lower one, though that is our opinion rather than a fact about their product.
Whichever tool you compare it to
What CFO Pal does differently
Set Wyzr aside for a moment. Five things are true of CFO Pal against every product on this list, and each one is enforced by a test in our own code rather than by a sentence on a page.
It only ever reads. We connect to Xero, QuickBooks or Sage and never write anything back. Our job is interpretation, not bookkeeping, so there is nothing we could break in your ledger.
The AI is not allowed to do arithmetic. Every figure it quotes is calculated first from your accounting data and handed to the model as fact. An answer containing a monetary figure that is not already in that data fails our test suite.
If the numbers do not reconcile, it says nothing. Before any AI output is written, we check that the balance sheet balances, that the profit and loss agrees with the ledger, and that cash bridges from one month to the next. If a check fails, the model is not called and you are told why, rather than handed a confident figure that is wrong.
It starts the conversation. A written brief lands every Monday and an alert arrives the day something moves, whether or not you log in. A dashboard waits to be opened. A finance director does not.
Xero, QuickBooks and Sage are treated the same. Every check runs on every platform, so a business with two companies on two systems, or a firm with a mixed client base, gets one way of working.

The honest summary
If you are a startup founder tracking burn and preparing to raise, Wyzr is aimed squarely at you and connects to your bank, which we do not. If you run an established business, want management accounts and budget control alongside the forecast, and want the person who answers your questions to be working from arithmetic you can audit, CFO Pal is the closer fit. Both are worth a trial; they are cheap next to the cost of finding out too late.
